I graduated with a degree in computer science, worked with Fortune 200 and Fortune 500 companies for 11 years. I had a successful corporate career that brought me much reward and satisfaction. I still live that life today.
Additionally, I am a priestess of the Yoruba Orisa tradition, initiated in the mysteries of ancestral science. That is the shift that saved me.

My career and building wealth always felt easy but I struggled internally with identity issues because of traumatic experiences I suffered in childhood and as a young adult. The environment that should have supported me, failed me instead. I knew I was hurt and that this hurt fractured my relationships and outlook on life. I needed healing. The healing I needed took me to the beginning and that is where I met the Orisas and ancestral spirits.
The Orisas taught me to accept the lessons of great pain
in order derive joy from the blessing of life.

I learned that there is as much hardness in the soft
as there is softness in the hard.

My work with Orisas and ancestral spirits helped me grow in wisdom and humility. Humility is grounding. It lends lifelong lessons that eventually grooms the apt student into their better and truest selves.

Iya Tilewa - The Official Biography
Iya Tilewa is a spiritual empowerment coach and the founder of Iya Tilewa. She spent 11 years in finance as a successful, high performing senior consultant working for Fortune 200 Companies. She holds several advanced IT certifications and a degree in Computer Science. She always enjoyed her career but had a sense something deeply important was missing.

Through her corporate career in finance, she acquired wealth and success. However, she struggled deeply, internally, due to unresolved feelings surrounding traumatic experiences she suffered in childhood and through young adulthood. These feelings were getting in the way of her happiness and creating lasting relationships. She knew she needed to heal and she knew she needed start at the foundation.
She placed her faith in her ancestral spirits and was guided to the Yoruba religion of Nigeria. She then felt a spark of great importance, a reset of some sort. She followed it and became a priestess. Hence, she learned advanced healing and manifestation techniques. She was at once fascinated by the divinatory science of the Obi and the Cowrie. The precision in the revelations were astounding. It was like nothing she had ever experience. Also, she fell in love with the Orisas, whom she feels are the redeeming bodies of the universal consciousness.
The Orisas are always on standby and readily lend guidance, tough love and redemption. Their reason is community building and saving mankind even from itself. For Iya Tilewa, there is no turning back. She returned home.
